A hidden gem in a great location. The hotel has a charming old-style house conversion vibe and is conveniently located near the CBD and the MCG. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast offered was reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would recommend this hotel for its unique character and convenient location. I had a pleasant stay at Magnolia Court Boutique.

We loved the location of the hotel, as it was close to public transportation and within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel had great facilities, was clean and offered free parking with a permit. The breakfast was also delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
All was good.

Comfortable, clean, very quiet location & excellent breakfast!
Unable to get a taxi to pick me up so had to walk to my function in Smith Street, lucky it wasn't raining. Probably not the hotel's fault but the office person did say he would book a taxi for me, which didn't happen.

Quaint. Close to city. Loved the suburbia feel.
When I arrived at reception, there was a lady on the reception desk. I found this lady abrupt, patronizing and quite rude. Her manner was condescending, and if I hadn't paid in full would have left immediately. . I was very relived that she was not on the desk on Saturday and Sunday.

This hotel offers great value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. Located in a quiet area outside of the CBD, it provides all the comforts one would expect. The staff were friendly and the basic amenities in the room, including a bath, were a nice touch. Additionally, the breakfast included a variety of options to satisfy different tastes.
No major issues, everything was up to par.

Location - a walk to various work activities
Seems to need a big maintennance program - alas it is showing its age and the standard of equipment, cleanliness etc seems to have slipped a bit since I last visited - but still a great place and great staff

We had a medical appointment and had to stay in Melbourne overnight - Magnolia Court was ideal for our purpose and Julie was most helpful and friendly.
We needed Brekky at 7.30 on the dot, was a little late.

Reasonable sized room, good quality towels and linen. Car parking. Quiet street
At first I thought Staff not very helpful and very offhand in the evening not just to myself, but when pressured became very kind. Did not refer to next shift by title or name- I think they need customer skills updating The following morning my sister objected to the huge (about 5cm) cockroach in her clothing she had left out to wear (had actually put it on) The member of staff on duty kept saying - but is everything else ok!, Was not concerned that a huge cockroach had been in her clothing Breakfast -whilst we could not fault the cereals and fruit selection The cooked selection was poor, appeared cold and unappitising. One of the eggs was rotten We were not the first people in the dining room but didnt find out there were pancakes available until we were leaving

The location & that it included breakfast.
I was particularly upset because in tne special requests ,when booking on line,I specified twin beds as per website photo & we were given a double bed on arrival. This was not appropriate as we were two males attending a conference together. They did provide a fold out bed on the floor . The joke is they said they would not charge for the fold out.

This hotel is in a great location, tucked away in a quiet area outside of the busy city center. It offers all the basic amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including breakfast with varieties. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms have leafy views, providing a tranquil atmosphere to relax in after a day of exploring.
The overall maintenance of this hotel could use some improvement. While the staff are friendly and accommodating, there were reports of broken items and issues with the room, such as a broken curtain and cracked floor tiles.

I loved its proximity to CBD and the fact that it was in one of the loveliest parts of Melbourne. It is right beside a lovely park and easy walking distance of Botanic Gardens and Fitroy area.
It could do with a bit of an upgrade. I loved the size of my room which had a separate sitting room and a balcony but the decor and furniture was very 1980's, which is a shame, because the exterior of the hotel is very pretty and keeps many of its original features.
